Back on September 17th, 1972 a new TV show debuted, that tv show is called M*A*S*H. It has now been 50 years since it initially debuted. At the time nobody would have been able to predict just how much of an impact the show would have, not just immediately, but also many years into the future.

The final episode of M*A*S*H, “Goodbye, Farewell, and Amen“, was the most watched finale of any TV series in history, with 105 million viewers. There are many people, including those who were not around when the show was first on the air, who love the show.

To help commemorate the 50th anniversary, I am announcing the availability of a new game called, “4077: An Unofficial M*A*S*H Trivia Game“. There are two versions, one on the web, and companion iOS app. The web version is available at https://mashtivia.app.

There are four different game modes.

    • Easy – 30 second timer with 5 questions per round and up to 3 wrong answers per round
    • Medium – 20 second timer with 7 questions per round and up to 2 wrong answers per round.
    • Hard – 15 second timer with 10 questions per round and up to 2 wrong answers per round.
    • R&R – No timer, 5 questions per round. Play as many rounds as you would like.

The questions for the game are original and come from re-watching the actual episodes and are not from any website or book. Some of the questions are going to be easy to answer while others will be significantly more difficult.

The first release has questions only from the first season of the show. There are 579 questions over the 24 episodes. More questions will be added over time as seasons are completed.

There are no ads in the game, it is merely designed to pay homage to a timeless show. If you play the game and enjoy it, feel free to share it with others.

As mentioned above, there is also iOS version of the game. It is available for iPhone, iPad, and macOS. It requires iOS 16, iPadOS 16, or macOS Ventura to run. You can also download it from the iOS App Store.

Below are just a few screenshots of the app. You can read more information about the iOS app by navigation to https://mashtrivia.app/app.
